The piston pump has multiple pistons

The piston pump is a type of positive displacement pump, wherein the high pressure seal and the reciprocating piston. Piston pumps can be used to move liquids or compressed gases. They can operate over a wide range of pressures. High pressure operation can be realized without strong influence on flow rate. The piston pump can also deal with viscous medium and medium containing solid particles. This type of pump works by means of a piston cup, in which the downward stroke causes a pressure difference, the pump chamber is filled, and the upward stroke forces the pump fluid to flow out for use. Piston pumps are often used in situations where high pressure, uniform pressure is required, as well as in water irrigation or delivery systems. Two main types of piston pump are lift pump and forced pump. Both types can be operated manually or by the engine. In the lift pump, the up stroke of the piston draws water into the lower part of the cylinder through the valve. In the down stroke, water enters the upper part of the cylinder through a valve arranged in the piston. In the next up stroke, water is discharged from the upper part of the cylinder through the nozzle. In the forced pump, the up stroke of the piston draws water into the cylinder through the inlet valve. In the down stroke, water is discharged into the outlet pipe through the outlet valve. The axial piston pump has a plurality of pistons (usually an odd number), which are arranged in a circular array in the shell, which is usually called the cylinder block, rotor or cylinder. The cylinder block is driven by an integral shaft to rotate around its symmetrical axis, which is more or less aligned with the pump piston (usually parallel but not necessarily).
